Rebecca Dayan

Rebecca Dayan is a French actress and artist. Starting her career in Paris modelling for Karl Lagerfeld and working with Sonia Rykiel. She
moved to New York to pursue acting; Rebecca has since appeared in Celeste & Jesse Forever (2012), which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, as well as the critically acclaimed independent feature H., which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival and later screened at Sundance and the Berlin International Film Festival. Her additional credits include Novitiate (2017), Tesla (2020), in which she portrayed Sarah Bernhardt, From Paris with Love, Random Acts of Violence, The Childhood of a Leader, and the series Halston (2021), where she played Elsa Peretti.

Beyond her screen work, Dayan is also a visual artist whose watercolour portraits explore themes of femininity, spirituality, and emotional intimacy. Her work is often inspired by her acting process; most notably her research for Novitiate, during which she studied writings and testimonies of nuns, becoming deeply moved by their expressions of devotion and love. This influence led to her debut solo exhibition, Assumption, in New York, where she translated these ideas into a series of ethereal, introspective portraits.

She is also a committed women’s health advocate, co-founding the nonprofit Mother Lover to address maternal mortality.

Across fashion, film, and art, Dayan continues to shape a body of work defined by sensitivity, depth, and purpose.
