Amy Lim is an Australian multidisciplinary artist of Chinese–Malaysian heritage, trained in ballet, contemporary, commercial, and a wide spectrum of movement styles. She performed and toured internationally with the Ballet National de Marseille under the direction of (LA)HORDE, working closely with the company on a daily basis and engaging with a diverse choreographic repertoire, including works by leading contemporary voices such as Peeping Tom and Lucinda Childs, Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Yoann Bourgeois while collaborating across commercial, avant-garde, and experimental contexts.
Now working across the fashion industry and visual culture, her practice bridges stage and camera, bringing a refined embodiment of energy and emotion to fashion image-making and film. A physical chameleon with a strong visual presence and voice, she translates movement into creation and storytelling, with the ability to inhabit a range of characters while maintaining a distinct identity of her own.
Her work spans collaborations with leading creatives across fashion, film, and music, including projects with Chanel, Guerlain, Nike, Adidas, Aritzia, Karl Lagerfeld, M·A·C Cosmetics, as well as image-making alongside Jordan Hemingway, Aidan Zamiri, Xavier Dolan, and Mario Sorrenti. She has performed with artists such as FKA twigs, Wolf Alice and Sen Senra, and worked across campaigns and shows for brands including Y-3, Cartier and H&M x Paco Rabanne, moving fluidly between large-scale productions and more intimate, experimental collaborations.
Through ongoing relationships with photographers, directors, stylists, and movement directors, she continues to build a presence at the intersection of contemporary dance and global fashion culture. With a wide network across both the commercial and performance worlds, Amy brings versatility, fluidity, and a deeply embodied approach to each project, shaping work that is both expressive and visually compelling.
